I have a 95 Silverado 4x4, 350 Auto w/ 233,000 miles. Just to give ya a heads up, I've been through the ringer. Mine got so bad that the only way I could speed up was to let off the gas and let idle speed me up. Since I dont have all the tools to perform the necessary diagnostics per component, I decided to start with the most obvious and move up. Replaced, fuel pump, fuel filter, blew out fuel lines, ran better but not it. Overhauled throttle body, renewed base gasket, both injectors ($200 a piece) fuel pressure regulator, Ran better but still not it. Replaced entire distributor, cap, rotor, plugs and wires, once again ran better but no banana. Tore intake off replaced gaskets, cleaned some very carboned up ports, replaced EGR valve, vacuum lines, pcv valve and catalytic converter. Runs just a little better once again, but no where near what it did 2 months ago. Thats where I am now, 1200 bucks/ 2 months later. Going for MAP sensor, EGR vac solenoid, IAC valve and oxygen sensor tomorrow, Im not sure whether to shoot myself or my truck.
