distributor installation

is there a trick to reinstalling a distributor I marked the distributor and manifold before I removed it this is a 1964 converted to 73 350 and auto transmission

When you install the distributor you need to have the rotor pointing to the no.1 cap tower and distributor fully flush and then lightly tighten down so that you can adjust ignition timing-
