1985 Chevy Silverado Fuel system

Installed new fuel pump and fuel filter, cranks over but cuts right out like it ran out of gas, fuel gauge broke. I have gas, but there is no fuel getting to the carberator, checked fuel line. Please help Thank You

You replaced that without checking for gas? It is very possible that you have ran out of gas or have a bad fuel filter.
