2001 Chevy S-10 4.3L V-6, 62,000 miles.

I'm assuming my problem is fuel related. I took the truck to a mechanic to have the water pump replaced because it was leaking water. They replaced the water pump and serpentine belt. The very next morning, the truck died on me on my way to work. Had it towed to the mechanic, and they diagnosed a faulty fuel pump. They replaced fuel pump and fuel filter.

Next day, it died again. Took it in again, and they said it was a short in the coil wire. They replaced the coil wire. The truck has not died on me again since then, but I'm having issues with it being extremely hesitant when accelerating. It seems to have a major loss of power and sometimes will jerk when accelerating. (Like a power / no power / power symptom)

I'm assuming a problem with fuel injectors, but could be spark plugs, wires, etc. Any recommendations?

I had this same thing happen to my 87 s10 blazer and I worked on it for week then I gave up and turned to my girlfriends brother who knows alot about cars and he drove it for a few minutes and told me that my fuel filter was bad due to a dirty gas tank, but since they replaced ur fuel filter to I dont know if it would be the same for you.

Let me know how it goes

Here's the update:

Turns out the Cat. Converter was stopped up and was causing massive hesitation problems on acceleration. It got to the point that I couldn't get past 40-45mph. Luckily enough, GM warrants my Cat. Converter for 8 years/80000 miles, and so it was still covered under warranty. Now, it's back to running like new!
