anti-theif radio code

I recently had to change my battery in my 2002 S10 pick up truck.
Stupid here didn't write down the security code.
I now have Inop display (not operatable)
I forgot the code
Is there a reset factory code out there, so I can have music again?

The dealership has the info-or you can surf the Web-however you have to pay a small fee to get it. Plus you need the numbers on the back of the unit.
