4x4 s-10

Hi i got a 1986 4x4 s-10 and it started to get hard to put in to reverse,and then its really hard to even get in to first gear with the truck running,but when its off it goes in good.i tried to bleed the clutch but now theres nothing to the pedal you try to start it in gear with the clutch in it jumps forward.....do you think im just bleeding it wrong or what???? thanx for your great site

check to see if the clutch fork moves when you step on clutch. If it does not try to bleed it again. make sure the fluid is topped off and it does not go dry. if the slave is pushing the clutch fork in then the pressure plate could be bad. before this happend did the clutch slip at all? if it did then the clutch might have to be replace. but first check the slave to make sure it working all right.
