I have a 2002 Chevy S-10 Crew Cab. Recently, I've been hearing the flow of liquid behind the dashboard, passenger side. But, I only hear the sound when I accelerate the gas. I was thinking it might be coolant having a problem flowing, but I'm not sure. I was thinking it was coolant because last year the radiator had to be replaced because it was leaking coolant from a crack and was overheating very quickly. It was replaced and everything sounded fine and heated and cooled very well. Even now, there doesn't seem to be any problems heating and cooling the cab area, but there could be a problem soon. Do you have any ideas what the liquid sound behind the dash could be?

sounds like air in the system, start the engine and before it heats up remove the radiator cap. if the fluid level is down fill it up. let truck run until the fluid starts to circulate, if the level goes down add more coolant. be careful of splash back. some cars will get vapor locked, this is a way to help get it out. rmember be careful around the radiator, I have seen where there was a coolant block and the hot coolant came out of the reaiator. After you can see the coolant flowing, {the hoses will get hot} then replace the cap with the motor still running, before shutting the truck off make sure the resevoir is full, when the engine cools down it will draw coolant from the resevoir into the engine.
