My truck is cutting back very bad. It seems to sputter real bad. The engine also shakes bad. There is fire when I pull off # 5 plug wire. Plug looks o.k. The computer says it is misfiring on #5 cylinder. What should I do next

Hello annapowers

Have your injectors cleaned up .
On-car cleaning may help remove the varnish deposits that are restricting the injector and restricting fuel delivery(Wallmart do this for little money) but chances are, if the injector is clogged enough to cause a steady misfire, it will have to be removed for off-car cleaning or be replaced (injector on #5)
make sure the fire you saw at #5 is a beautiful blue light not yellow(weak) spark.
next, a compression test must be done if injectors doing their job.
check those first so we can continue.
