1998 Chevy S-10 died in street, possible fuel?

Engine Performance problem
1998 Chevy S-10 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

just got 4.3 out of shop;had new egr, plugs, fuel pump, installed, driving down road and it slowly died, now wont start. I pulled plug wire and it sparks, fuel pump is 'whining' and fuel sqwirts out of shrader valve. Dont know what to do next. Help! (Was told could be 'spider', what you think, ?

I would start by checking the fuel pressure. If it is too low, the vehicle won't run. Here is a how to for checking it:

Also, just for the heck of it, see if it will start with starting fluid.
