My boyfriends' truck has a little switchboard that he can change from 2WD to 4WD HI or LOW. One of his friends kept playing with it so it is now broke, and he needs to replace it. So the question is: What is that part called?

You sounded as though you are talking about the transfer case select switch.

This switchboard is it located upper left of the radio?

Yes sir it is. It has three buttons: 2WD, 4WD HI, 4WD LOW.
