How do I replace an ac evaporator on a 1996 chevy s10 four cylinder engine, is it under the dash or unbder the hood and how.

You really shouldn't attempt this. Have a pro do it as there needs to be recycling and evacuation done which i'm sure you don't have access to. Also there is some cutting involved which would have to be reglued on.
