I add fluid, pump the clutch, put it in gear, let the clutch out, push again to change gears and nothing happens. The master looks good, it just started doing this but before I had to keep adding fluid to the clutch master but now the clutch just seems worthless. Help please.

Sounds lke the clutch slave sylinder is bad. If you have been putting fluid in it then there is definatly a leak.

Thats what I was thinking after looking up similar issues on a few forums and here. Im used to doing cable transmissions and clutches on front wheel drives so I figure how hard can this be, move the axle, a few cables n hoses n the tranny bolts. Question now is, am I underestimating the task?

It can be done a couple of way. One, remoe the engine and transmission together. A lenghty job. Or two, replace it with the vehicle up in the air. You will have to drop the drivshaft then disconnect the wiring and lines going to the transmission. Stablize the transmission with a reansmission jack. Then loosen the transmission bolts. Move the transmision back then you can work on the slave cylinder. One thing do not release tension on clutch plate when transmssion is out. If you do you will have to re- allign the splines. It just takes more time. I made that mistake years ago, changing a throwout bearing.
