Electrical problem
1992 Chevy S-10 Engine Size unknown Four Wheel Drive Automatic 170XXX miles

Hello,

I am having a problem with my truck I bought it about 2 months ago. Its a 1992 Chevy S-10 with 170XXX miles on it. A new Motor and rebuilt tranny was installed about 10,000 miles ago. My problem is the truck just wouldnt start one day, I had a new starter installed about 3 weeks ago. It try's to turn over but something just wont click. Truck is in great condition no funny sounds or anything when I try to start it. Please give me any answers you may have. Thank you and Best Regards!

When you say it has trouble what kind? Clicking? Or nothing at all? If you hear a click, then either the battery is weak, or the starter, possibly bad battery cable connections, check and clean both ends of BOTH cables! Dissconnect negative(-) first, and put it on last! If no click the starter relay is no good!

If it's cranking just not starting you need to check for what is missing, you need three things to start, 1.) Spark at all plugs 2.) Gas at all cyls 3.) Compression all cyls. Check all and report back!
