1992 Chevy S-10 moter wont start

Moter wont turn over batt says its ok but when key is put in n turned to start nothin but black n batt says its dead

Welcome, I'd use a digital voltmeter on the battery posts, take reading, everything turned off, 12.6 volts is considered a full charge. Leave the meter leads hooked up to the battery, have helper turn key to crank, the reading shouldn't drop below 9 volts, some info says 10. If the reading drops to zero, have the battery tested. If it tests out ok, pull the starter, have it tested.
