1988 Chevy S-10 Won't start

I have a 2.5L 4 cyl. While turning the engine over the injector won't spray fuel. You can add a little gas to the carb. And it will start right away and spray normally and run good.

What you need to do here is 1st check the fuel pump and oil pump pressure sending unit. The fuel pump relay is energized by the computer for 2 secs to prime the fuel system at which time while engine is being crank oil pressure is being build-up this causes the FP/Oil pressure sending unit to close and power the fuel pump continously while engine is running.
