1982 Chevy S-10 carburetor

Hi:
First, check to make sure the chole is opening. If it is, make sure the high idle cam is allowing the linkage to move the choke. If everything is ok, I can't remember for sure because it's been awahile since I worked on a carb, but I think attached to that carb is a vacuum activated pull off for the choke. Look at that too, and make sure there is nothing simple blocking the throttle itself or a broken return spring. If none of this works, I would start looking for vacuum leaks.
