This item is no longer available. It is a flexible base mount and has developed a couple of small cracks that allow air to leak causing a problem with fuel delivery to the engine. The truck will not crank and run. Where can I get an aftermarket base mount; or what other solutions are available such as alternate manifolds, gaskets, carburetors, etc?

Look on the internet like e bay and amazon. They are around. Not too popular anymore.

Thanks. I will continue to search for the base plate. The truck is too good to scrap, so, if an engine swap (from 2.0 liter to 2.2 liter fuel injected) is possible, I would consider that as an option. How difficult would such a swap be(would the 2.2 bolt up to the existent automatic tranny; wiring, computer, etc)? It is a shame to have to consider an engine swap because of a carburetor base plate problem, but it looks like I may need a back-up plan!

No, huge undertaking. Completley different system. I would fix the existing motor.
