rear window defogger

my rear window defogger has stopped working. Is this something that I can troubleshoot and repair myself? I have a 2001 chevy monte carlo ss

You bet. Start with the fuses and relays.Test them with a test light or meter instead of the naked eye, it is much more reliable. If all OK, then pop the switch out of the dash and test it for power in and out when you switch it. If thats OK then test the continuity of the wire from the switch to the defroster unit.
