I have a 1998 Chevy 350 Vortec P30 that was a school bus that we have turned into a rv. I was driving and had my foot on the brake petal. I must have kicked a wire that grounded out. There was some smoke and then everything went dead. When you turn the key nothing happens. Some of the lights work. Only about a 1/4 of the fuse box has power. We found the wire, it is red 12agw. We then pluged in it back into a distribution block that appears to send power to 4 other wires that go to different parts of the fuse block. But after doing this there is still no power. The red wire should have 12V+ I think but I can't find a source for it's power. All the fuses I have checked are good. What could have happen? A relay, a fuse I'm not seeing?

Hi Jamie11111, Welcome to 2carpros and TY for the donation

You need to test all your fusible links if all okay -test the ignition switch for power in to it and out of it-

The guy looking at my bus checked the fusible links and says they are ok. He doesn't want to remove the ignition switch but I think he is going to now because you are the third one to tell him to check it.
