Here's the deal, my father restored cars and when he died we got 3 of them. We're trying to keep them running anf nice, but we have no idea what we're doing

We've put in a altinator, battery, voltage regulator and plugs. We've already checked the battery terminals and ground.

When I turn the key there's nothing, no clicking.

Acouple of months ago, after jumping the car, it start and run, but would not start again.

Thanks

Try taking out the starter and having it tested-make sure all your connections are clean and tight

Do this be careful get a remote starter or use a screwdriver and hook it up on the starter solenoid purple wire terminal and the battery-did it crank over-if not check the purple wire for battery voltage. No power test the neutral safety switch and the ignition switch.

Don't be surprized when you check for voltage at solenoid trigger wire if you don't have battery voltage, the circuit only has 7.5 volts to trigger solenoid not 12volts. This isn't a new car. Check the bulkhead connector on l/side fire wall, you'll see 2 square plugs the 1 closest to fender is lights, the 1 on mastercylinder side is ign. & Starter, make sure they are clean and tight. Good Luck, Lou
