Hello,
The battery light or the low charging light comes on when the battery does not get charged sufficiently by the alternator as the engine is running.
It could be due to a bad alternator; it can also be due to having bad connection or corrosion on the cable or the battery terminal. Verify that the cable is secured and free of any corrosion.
Good first step would be to test the alternator. Which can be done easily with a multimeter.
