2006 Chevy Monte Carlo BATTERIES

My battery was dead it was due to be change I jump it and ran aroun d the block, to be sure; car ran fine. I went to jump it the next day to have the shop put a new one in, and I put the cables on the wrong terminals, and the began to melt, realized what I done Pulled them off, and jumped it the right way, now my car is running really rough. Please help.

The first thing you have to do is check all the fuses and fusible links. Doing that can wreak all kinds of untold havoc with the numerous modules throughout the vehicle. Most of the time it only gets fuses but it could develop into a real nightmare
