I recently replaced the EGR valve after getting a 404 error code. I reset the pcm with a code scanner, got a "pass" on the scanner, but when I went to get my car re-tested, it was rejected. The Air-Team guy was very helpful, but he did not know how long it would take for the drive cycle to reset. My question is, how long and/or how many miles do I have to drive in order to pass the emissions providing there is no other error codes.

Had that problem. Try this if you want, unhooked the battery for an hour, then hook it back up, also does your engine light comes on, another thing go to your local parts store like autozone, and see if they can tell you another way to clear the code, they told me to turn my key on an off 100+ times and it cleared my trouble codes, if it don't fix it then write me back.

Hey Roadster, Thanks for the advice. The trouble codes are gone, the "service engine soon" light does not come on, my son works at Advance Auto Parts, and we cleared the trouble codes a couple of days ago.
The guy at the testing place said that if you disconnect the battery, you have to wait for the drive cycle to start over. I appreciate your input, thanks again.
Enjoy your day
