1996 Chevy Monte Carlo

first i have to to give it some gas to start. then when it does get started, as soon as a press the brake or turn the wheel it dies. why? i already checked the battery, starter, and alternator and changed all filters.

Hi:
It sounds like a sensor problem. Have the computer scanned for trouble codes. Most parts stores will do it for free. If nothing is found, check for vacuum leaks.
