1995 Chevy Monte Carlo 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

How do I check the switch? How do I remove it?
I am not getting fire to the starter. Shows a code that says passkeyII code 46.

with code 46 stored and engine not cranking at all, most likely the key is the problem and not the ignition switch, try using a new/different key first before replacing ign. switch .
