I have a 2005 Chevy Malibu. I purchased gas caps (my original one cracked) from Autozone, of course they never fit properly. Most times after some time, it makes my engine light come on. I went to get my oil change at Jiffy Lube and asked them to reset it, (as they always have been able to do because I know its the gas cap issue) but he was unable to. He hooked the small computer to my car and said it wouldn't reset because it says something about my injector circuit. What is is and how much will this cost me. Is he sure its just not because I need to get a new gas cap ASAP?

Hello,

This could be due to voltage supply issue to the given injector circuit.
Please note that your vehicle has 6 injectors and their respective circuits. In order to know which injector we will need to know the exact code
As the injector circuit can refer to any of the six (or multiple injector circuits) injector circuits.
You can always get the vehicle scanned at your local auto parts store. They will scan and can provide you with the code.

I have attached the diagnostics for the injector circuit code. Note: you will just need to know which injector circuit that is triggering the issue, as the diagnostics is the same.

Please let me know of any questions.
Thank you.
