On cold days when the torque convertor locks up, vehicle surges 100-500rpm on accelleration. Almost dissappears above 50 degrees outside air temp. Started to be there intermittently on cold days but now is pretty consistant. The colder the air temp and load the worse it is. My question, is this more apt to be in the convertor, torque convertor solenoid or controls.

No check engine light has ever come on. After a very severe case of the "jerks" which took place on a lengthy road trip, I thought it was finally going to give out, it has not acted up again in the last 1500 miles. Strange since it has been pretty consistant over a 1 year period. Hence my question whether I am looking for an electrical issue or mechanical. Tech 2 diagnosing has proven neither to me, only shows that pulse width to converter is all over the place but yet no light.
