I have changed the theromasts and the water pump and the car still gets hot. I am unsure of why, but I have been told it sound like the head gasket or the head itself. It is a 3100 motor or I think a 3.1. I am unsure of how you would classify it.

Have you tried flushing the cooling system? Also, have you checked engine compression for a weak cylender that would indicate a bad head gasket?

Finally, the 3.1L are known to have intake gaskets that leak. Do you add coolant to the engine often? Does it look like coolant may be getting into the oil?
