1999 Chevy Malibu noisy lifters

1999 Chevy Malibu 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive 120,00 miles

I have noisy lifters or rockers arms or pushrods like a ticking noise and always present when running and does not go away good compression and runs great, tried different oils does not helpm they say these engines have a history of noisy ticking on top of engine. any solutions

Get a long shank screw driver place blade on valve cover handle to ear. Go around engine see if can pin point source of noise. also place on an injector. Does ticking increase cwith RPM?
