I own a 1998 Chevy Malibu. My engine started knocking recently and now my check engine light is blinking, I am not sure what is wrong with it. Any help you may give would be greatly appreciated.

Go to autozone or o'reilly and have your car scanned for trouble codes (they usually do it for free).
Do that and have your car fixed asap. Knocking can cause great damage to your engine.
