If the security light is coming on, that is shuting the engine off. The security system needs to be scanned to identify where the problem is coming from. You can try a different key if you have one. Otherwise, and I hate to say it, it needs taken to a dealer to have the system scanned. They are the only ones with the proper test equipment to check it.
NOTE: If you turn the key to the run position for aprox 10 minutes, the security light should shut and the engine should start.
