The fans work with the air cond. on, but won't operate otherwise. Relay, fuses fine. Changed temp. sensor, still won't come on. was told it was the BCM and also told it didn't have one for the fans? Please help? if it is the BCM, where is it located?

Hi:
Yes, the BCM could have an effect on the cooling fan. It is located below the left side of the instrument panel, the left side of the steering column.

This guide can help

I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, let me know.

the trigger comes from the pcm.(i just looked up schematic on mitchell) i would first check the actual temp sensor signal at pcm with a scan tool to make sure its not a wire problem from temp sensor to the pcm which is where i would be leaning. double check the wiring connector at temp sensor, try lightly pulling on wires at plug and see if they are broken inside insulation. hope this helps
