Engine Performance problem
1999 Chevy Lumina 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Car will cut out bad enough you can not drive it as long as you have your foot on gas. It will go about 20 mph Chech fuel preasure Mass air flow what else should I do

Hi:
Have you had the computer scanned for trouble codes? If not, take it to a nationally recognized parts store and have them scan it for you. They will most likely do it for free. Let me know what you find. Also, make sure you have pressure at the exhaust. The cat converter may be plugging.

No codes are showing up on scan. I think they checked the exhaust. Thanks

Hi:
Without codes, electrical / sensors would be a guess. Make sure they checked the exhaust for a possible cat conv problem. Also, check for vacuum leaks. Look for dry rotted, broken, or disconnected hoses. Also, listen to see if you can hear a hiss sound and follow it to find where it's coming from.
