1997 Chevy Lumina water going into engin

the water goes right into the engin and then it ruins the oil, i need a oil change but i want to fix the problem with the water, y would there be water getting into the engin, could it be the head gaskets? If not what could it be?

Could be headgasket cracked head or block and intake manifold gasket

Have you seen any white smoke from tailpipe?
If so headgasket failure If not bad intake maniflod gasket can introduce water to engine.A coolant pressure test will show which one.
Get this taken care of soon you run the risk of damaging engine bearings.
