After driving approx. 100 mi, esp. In hot weather, if car is shut off, will not start again until letting car sit for several hrs. Does ok on shorter trips. Mechanic has replaced plugs, wires, head gasket.

It cranks, but does not start--almost sounds as if it is not getting enough fuel. Sometimes smells as if it is flooded.

Dies and wont start until it's cool
smells like gas.

Classic signs of the ignition module failing.

Next time it stalls out and wont start, check for spark.
