1992 Chevy Lumina 6 cyl Automatic 150000 miles

I have asked numerous mechanics and they are still stumped! When I take of in my car when I come to the first stop the car shuts off and dies. The only way I can get it started is to push the pedal all the way down as if it was flooded. Even then it may happen a few more times. It only happens when I come to a complete stop. Only when I have been driving for a while will it not act up. What causes this and how can I fix it?

I also own a 92 z34 with 200,000 miles on it. Change the throttle position sensor located to the right/back of the intake. Also, right below that is an idle air sensor, both run about $40. The other thing I did was take out a pint of tranny fluid and put in a pint of seafoam trans tune. This lubricates the torque control clutch inside the tranny. Since I did this, the car stopped stalling and it idles at 700 rpm. Hope this helps. Let me know if this fixes your prob. If not, I have a few more ideas. We can break this down and find the real issue. Make sure your cat is not creating back pressure as well. If it is, you'll just fry the new sensors. Cats run about $165 installed.
