1991 Chevy Lumina starting to shudder after 20 minutes of drive, when engine reaches operating temperature, the automatic transmission fails to gear no matter how hard I'm trying to stop by pushing the brakes then stalls when coming to a stop. The car runs perfect when cold and on short trips. Bought the ALDL OBD1 usb cable and got the WINALDL free diagnostic software, but not being a professional car mechanic, don't know how to read the codes. The car is in Hungary, Europe. It is almost impossible to find a dealer/service to fix it. I need your help, put me on the right path to fix the problem. I love my car and can't use it as is. Thank you.

Sounds to me like the tcc (torque converter clutch) solenoid is not releasing after it warms up.
It won't engage until the engine reaches operating temp.
Unplug the square electrical connector on the front side of the trans.
If the problem goes away, have the solenoid replaced.
Located inside the end pan on the trans.
Won't hurt it to drive it for a while but get it fixed as soon as possible.
