2003 Chevy Express Blower turns on by itself

2003 Chevy Express Two Wheel Drive Automatic

The heater blower goes on by itself both while driving and while parked. The only way to turn it off when this happens is by disconnecting the wires on the unit against the firewall (next to battery).
