Was jumping a friend today. The remote jumping points were rather tiny and had a black cable with red tape and a red cable with black tape. Hate to say it, but we crossed the cables. Everything seems fine, radio clock is normal, everything seems normal with the exception of the power steering and a message reading 'Service Stabildrive'. It seems likely that a fuse blew or something similar, but I cant find a fuse labled 'Power Steering'. Any help appreciated!

Unfortunately, that message can come up for several reasons. It is possible that there was an event during the jump start, Hard to say whether or not it blew a fuse though. The fuse for the electric power steering is in the underhood fuse block, 80 amp EPS. A service stability message can also indicate a fault within the ABS system. I would say, if you check the EPS as well as the ABS fuses underhood, and find no problems, the next step would be to connect a scan tool to check codes and communications.

Stabilaze track off warning light on the dash, check the switch next to the shift lever and turn the switch on, and if u jump started antother car and if the steering wheel is hard , more likely you blew the 80 amp fuse, change the 80 amp fuse next to the fuse box between the battery cable and the fuse box, the the 80 amp fuse price is $2.99 at autozone $7.00 at NAPA auto parts, and $16.00 at the chevy dealer.
