I have the battery in the trunk and the starter does not start when the car is hot. I checked the volts at the starter and it read 8 volts only. It starts well when it is cold and we have determined that it is not a bad starter or the battery. I also checled the battery ground and it looks fine. I also check the timing and it was ok also. I also check the motor block ground strap to the chassis and it looked fine. I have not changed the battery cable yet and already bought a new starter just in case.
