Hi all hope everyone is having a blessed day. I bought car corsica from a old lady a few weeks ago. The car has been sitting for a few months she tells me. I paid only $500 and am not mad at that. The car cranks up ok, when put in drive it moves ok. Maybe in 10 to 20 minutes it starts a jerking action and loses power to the point of me pulling over. I then turn it off then turn it back on. It cranks rite up. Some times it shouts off after cranking it back up, but most of the time I put in drive and continue with my drive. It feels like it may have water in the tank or trash in there and it being sucked into the fuel enjector or cab. Where is the fuel pump located. Thank you all for help.

Hi:
The fuel pump is in the fuel tank. You could check for fuel pressure to make sure it is ok. Also, has the check engine light ever come on?

Let me know.

Also, here is a HOW TO video for checking fuel pressure.

Let me know what you find. Many parts stores will rent the gauge.
