My speedometer starts jumping suddenly and my truck want shift out of 1st gear also the service engine light is coming on occasionally aswell as the ABS light and my brakes feel real funny when these lights come on. Do you think it could be a sensor and if so wear is it located. Thanks:

Could be the VSS (Vehicle speed sensor)For starters have the PCM (computer) scanned for codes, Autozone will do it for free. If the PCM sees a problem it will store a code that will help in diagnosing the problem, get back with the exact codes.If the PCM doesnt see the truck moving (speedo) it wont let the trans shift
