My 350 V-8 in my chevy pickup has good power and a good idle but when you put it in gear to drive it just dies. I don't know if the timing is off or what is really goin on so I was wondering if you guys have any idea. I appreciate it

Check your idle speed first it may be off. Then change your fuel filter and try readjusting your carb. Your timing shouldn't be off as you have electronic ignition. Unless you have a spring type distributor holdown and the dist jumped, which it does some times. It meight need new plugs and a general tune up as well.
