The engine was not idling and stalling at stops just before stopping completely and now not starting at all. Noticed a strong gas smell and pool of gas on driver side in front. Got a pan to collect the gas (and a fire extinguisher!) And turned key to on position to turn on the fuel pump to trace the leak. Turned out to be leaking out of the air filter canister. Followed the leak up to the throttle body. Pulled the throttle body and re-tested. The gas was spraying out of the back side of the throttle body on the side where the IAC valve is located. Could a stuck IAC valve cause a gas leak or is it most likely the throttle body. Or something further up in the system?

No replies, but I did look back on this thread and found my answer so thought I would post for any future user with the same problem. Turned out as suggested in a prior post here it was a bad fuel pressure regulator. About a 100 bucks for the part at most stores but found one on ebay for $50. Would rate the job difficulty as medium but not too bad.
