I have a 1995 chevy cavalier 2.2 litre with 162000 miles. The cooling fan does not come on automatically. However when I disconnect the temp. Sensor on the motor by the thermostat the fan comes on. I can then plug the sensor back in and the fan will kick back off when the temp. Comes back down. Can you'll please tell what might be happening to cause this dilema. Thanks for any help you can give me on this matter.

Then you checked all the fuses, And they are ok, Then it narrows it down to youre fan relay switch, Its a little black box with wires coming from it to the fan wiring, near youre cars rad fan.

Your scumatic diagram shows only one fan control relay and one 30amp fuse in the engine compartment. The same 30 amp fuse powers the fan motor and the relay. The computer turns the relay on when it knows the engines temps getting high from the sensor or when the a/c system pressures get high both are fed into the pcm first.
