I have a 2003 Chevy Cavalier, automatic, with 73,000 miles, and 4-cylinder. The problem that I am having is I am not able to start it up. It started up as normal but after it warmed up, it shut off and has not started up since. The engine was turning like it wanted to start for a couple of days, now it will not turn over at all. All of the lights and radio work fine. I just tried to start it again, but once I turned the key, it will not turn back off. It is like the ignition is stuck. What do you think the problem might be.

It sounds like you have three different problems,

1. I would make sure the battery is in good shape, this guide can help

2. You need to replace the ignition lock which I have included in the images below.

3. Check the fuel pressure because it sounds like the fuel pump has failed.

Please check out this video which shows how to change the fuel pump and filter out

Check out the images (below). Let us know how it goes
