I am currently having an issue with my car. The engine is knocking I believe that the rods are bent. The oil was low at one point. My question is that is there a way to switch over from a 2.2 ecotec engine to a 2.4 engine this 2.2 engine has been more of a problem than it is worth?

First, we only recommend direct fit parts. Yes, you could change the engine, but the cost, effort, and time are more effort than they are worth. What happens is you need to change computers, sensors, vacuum hoses, wiring harness, motor mounts, exhaust. The list goes on. Then, after you have spent all that money, put the time into it, there always seems to be something that doesn't work properly. That is why we only recommend direct fit parts.
