Transmission problem
2004 Chevy Cavalier 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

we have a 2004 Chevy Cavalier, the clutch keeps sticking and won't come back up. You press it and it stays down. Can't shift the gears to drive the car. Can you tell me what could be the problem?

Someone mentioned that maybe there is a pump in the transmission that hydrolics the clutch and it's not working together, is there a pump in the transmission that works the clutch?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you for your time.

There is a slave cylinder in trans. Input shaft that actuates clutch disc. Unfortunatly, you have to remove trans to get to it and replace.

Check clutch rod to clutch MC for any binding before getting into trans, possible the clutch pedal bushing is binding.
