2002 Chevy Cavalier service engine light

If you are talking about the service engine soon light or the check engine light. Just go to auto zone and they will hook to your cars computer. It is not a good idea to drive a vehicle with the service engine soon light on. It is running on preset parameters from the computer which means you are getting poor gas mileage and poor performance. It also means you have a input sensor or an output device that is sending a signal outside the parameters. If the engine light is staying on all the time that means you have a sensor or device that is bad and needs to be replaced.
