2002 Chevy Cavalier check engine light

My check engine light came on today for the 2nd time. The first time I took it to autozone and they said I had nothing to worry about but if it came on again then I might have a problem. The car runs great and all the fluids are good but it kinda is makin a ticking sound. It kinda sounds like it might be missing and I dont know what to do please help.

If engine light is on should take it to local auto part store and ask them to scan your vehicle for trouble codes. Post the code(s) here and I will follow up.

I have taken it to auto zone and all they do is erase it off my dashboard! But I am goin to take it in tomorrow for the 2nd time and see what they tell me this time

Tell them you want the codes and ask them NOT to delete the codes. They only need deleted after the proper repairs have been made.
